Do system crashes, slow startups, and constant errors sound all too familiar? If so, you may be surprised to know that the problem comes from regular computer use. As programs are installed and uninstalled from your computer, data fragments left behind can cause bloating of your computer’s registry. This causes your computer to have problems when trying to access information it needs to run, causing it to slow down and crash. However, there is an answer to your problems.
A registry cleaner can offer you the solution you need. However, a large number of registry cleaners exist. This, unfortunately, can make choosing a registry cleaner a guessing game. But, by learning which software programs you can trust, your selection process can become much easier. This is why we decided to take a look at Uniblue PowerSuite 2010.
We feel that, before we look at PowerSuite, there are a few things you should know about Uniblue. Uniblue is a Microsoft Certified Partner, which means that they must meet certain standards, set by Microsoft. They make some of the most popular registry software available. This alone should provide you with some peace of mind.
PowerSuite 2010 is the most comprehensive and complete registry cleaning software made by Uniblue. It offers users all of their registry programs rolled into one. It has the ability to perform every registry cleaning function possible. It can defragment your registry, optimize settings, and update drivers. This is all provided to you through one easy to use interface.
While the PowerSuite interface is easy to use, there is one area that could use some improvement. The interface requires you to close and then reopen the program to switch from one feature to the next. While this isn’t a serious issue, it does limit the user-friendliness. It is here, on the interface, that you perform your registry cleaning functions.
The strongest pro for PowerSuite is its management and diagnostic functions. The software provides you with an overview of the most recent scans and their results. You can provide each program a scheduled time to scan your computer. The program also provides you with the DriverScanner component, which ensures that your drivers stay up to date.
PowerSuite is also strong in its repair and recovery abilities. When comparing PowerSuite to its competitors, the repair and recovery function was definitely one of the best. However, the defragmenting process was found to be a little lacking. With most registry cleaners, you are informed of what is being defragmented, but this wasn’t the case with PowerSuite. This could present an issue if a problem occurs while the program is defragmenting. Luckily, there is a system backup, just in case this happens.
For those that are not as computer savvy, you will be pleased to know that Uniblue offers customer service to those that have purchased their products. Uniblue also guarantees that PowerSuite is completely free of adware, spyware, and malware. Add in the fact that Uniblue guarantees better performance or your money back and you have customer service that leaves little to be desired.
In conclusion, we found that Uniblue’s PowerSuite 2010 offered users and exceptional product and exceptional service. There didn’t seem to be much missing with the program. The weak points of the program included a lack of memory optimization, no data recovery, and a disjointed interface. However, the program’s strengths, which included management, repair, diagnostics, and recovery, greatly outweighed its weak points. Our advice is to give PowerSuite 2010 a try. We feel it is a worthwhile investment.
