SpeedUpMyPC is one of the registry cleaners created by Uniblue. SpeedUpMyPC provides you with an easy to use interface. There are four tabs to the interface; overview, clean up, settings, and optimization. Each tab offers you a different tool or function, helping you enhance the performance of your registry cleaning. The Overview tab, which is the main screen tab, can perform a scan and optimize your computer’s memory. This can easily be a one-stop cleanup spot for novice users. However, more experienced users may want to check out some of the other tabs.

The optimization tab allows you to tailor your registry cleaning. In this tab, you can change the settings for your memory, startup, CPU, and internet. If you want to maximize your internet usage, you can change the internet settings but you must know what you are doing because the software does not provide you with any help. the disk setting allows you to monitor disk activity but you will not be able to change the monitoring options. The CPU setting will allow you to monitor memory usage of specific applications and assign additional resources to increase performance. With the Startup option, you can determine which programs open up during the startup of your computer and change these settings.

The software offers and additional perk, the ability to delete cookies. However, this positive also has a negative side. While some browser cookies can create internet problems, there are good cookies that ensure your computer is recognized by specific websites. Some secure sites, like banks, won’t even let you log in if they cannot recognize your computer. SpeedUpMyPC doesn’t give you an option to decide which cookies it deletes.
The clean up section enables you to clean up left over data fragments that have been left behind during the addition and removal of programs. This can really help to speed up the performance of your computer. The final tab in SpeedUpMyPC, the settings tab, allows you to decide how the program starts and what happens to the files removed.

While SpeedUpMyPC isn’t the worst program we have evaluated, it definitely falls short in performance. The program does do a good job at cleaning your registry, but a serious lack of options could create some problems.
